HIPAA Compliance & Training
HIPAA or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 was signed into law by President Bill Clinton on August 21st 1996. It was meant to protect the rights and information of patients.
HIPAA is a fairly vague law and uses vague words like “reasonable”. This leaves it open to interpretation. There are a few things that are required by the law though. For example, you are required to have a set of HIPAA policies and you are required to have a designated HIPAA security person in your practice. You are also required to have at least annual HIPAA training for your staff.
As part of the HIPAA compliance package at Quick MSP, we will review your current policies (if you have any) and make recommendations. We will also perform a quarterly security audit and yearly training for your staff.
With Quick MSP, you will have peace of mind that your HIPAA policies and procedures are up to date. If we are not your IT company, we will work closely with your IT company to get the policies implemented.
