A lot of companies claim to be a Managed Service Provider (MSP) however most are what’s called Break/Fix. A Break/Fix company is a reactive type of IT support. You call them when something breaks and they fix it for a hourly rate. A MSP’s goal is to monitor all the systems in real-time and attempt to find issues before things break. A MSP is the Proactive approach! Typically with a MSP, there will be some hourly services but most of the work is covered under a monthly contract. This means less downtime for your business!
